iStor opens Middle East office
iDubai, UAE - October 01, 2008 - Renowned as a leader in the Secure Online Backup products and services,
Switzerland-headquartered iStor Secure IT AG has expanded its operations to the key Middle Eastern city of Dubai.
The opening of the new office reflects our success in the Middle East and the increasing demand for our services
worldwide. The new office in Dubai will oversee sales, marketing and support to iStor customers and partners in Middle
East countries, including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as part of the Africa region.
The launch of the Dubai office is part of a wider expansion plan. iStor already has operations in Europe, North America
and South America and its management team has extensive experience in international IT business development and
service delivery.

iStor Announces availability of RestoreLockTM
iStor Secure IT AG today announced the launch of RestoreLockTM, the next generation solution that allows customers to have the highest level of security and multi-factor authentication for accessing their backups and archives. RestoreLockTM works in combination with SecureDataVaultTM and prevents unauthorized access to backups and archives. Only persons that passes all authentication procedures are allowed to access it.
RestoreLockTM currently support the following authentication methods:
- Login and password
- Login and OPT (One Time Password - the user has a specialized calculator which provides him or her with a password on demand)
- Login and password on a smart card
- Biometrics (fingerprint/palm scan or iris scan)
- Contactless identification (small smart card, built into an object of your choice)
